Sacristan
Role: The Sacristan helps to maintain the sacristy and sanctuary for special liturgical setups for weekend Masses and Holy Days.
Major Responsibilities:
Personal Qualities Needed: This an important and helpful ministry that helps to keep our vestments, vessels, liturgical books, and other supplies ready and available for all liturgical celebrations.
Time Commitment: Available before masses to set up and other times to check supplies or prepare for special liturgies
All volunteers 14 and older must take the child and youth protection training Virtus. To volunteer contact the parish office at 301-447-2367 or [email protected].
Major Responsibilities:
- Set up of the vessels, books, etc. for weekend and weekday (if available) masses and other special liturgies
- Light cleaning in the sacristy and sanctuary
- Keep vestments, liturgical vessels and relevant supplies clean and orderly
