Preparation to Receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist

The preparation for children to receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist for the first time takes place in the winter (January-April) after preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  Children must be at least in the 2nd grade and have one year of Religious Education immediately prior to beginning the preparation.  Parent meetings take place to acquaint them with the materials used, process and procedure of preparation.
